Solid benching Eric! Beauty pressing!

Thanks Shawn. Those were all paused and that was on my own (no slingshot) plus no shoulder pain at all.

Haven't been in here in a bit but you sure are killing it. Nice work. How's the shoulder holding up?

Thanks Rich. Shoulder is getting better a little bit week by week. Lots of high rep stuff that stresses the muscles more than the ligaments or tendons. Seems to be working as I'm moving forward slowly.

Legs

Squats
110x5
135x5
160x3
190x3
215x3
240x3 (3+)
265x1
275x1
225x3
155x8

Leg press sort of SS with calf presses pwo
180x25
270x25
360x15
360x15
360x12

Calf presses
180x3x25
270x20
360x12
360x12
360x10

Did the first sets of calf presses in between the last sets of squats then SS them with the leg press. 1 min rest between sets of leg press and my quads were burning. Last rep of the last set on leg press had to push on my knees with my hands to get it back up all the way lol.

Happy with strength on squats. All the extra leg press stuff I did seems to have kept it up. What I've noticed is the legs feel strong but my upper body, on squats, needs the extra stimulus. Think I'll shoot for singles up to 285 next week.

Still hovering around 191. Had some off days with travel and life in general where I found myself eating or guzzling more beer than I should. Weight hasn't moved for 3 weeks and I need to get on the ball again.

Those squat weights are looking stout.  315 is right around the corner.

85x5
90x3
105x5
115x10 (5+)

Standing DB shoulder press
40x10,9,10

BBB bench

In between sets of the above I did calf presses on the leg press.

180x2x20
single leg calf press
45x2x25

Back at it somewhat.....
Tired today for some reason. Was not even able to work at my normal pace. Lateral raises, pec deck, lats and bi's all got left on the table. Doubt I'll catch up tonight as my son has a baseball game starting at 7:30pm and he has to be there at 7pm. Don't feel like heading to the gym at 9:30 tonight.

Krikey, I was feeling guilty for only lifting 2 days last week....

Yeah, crazy past couple of weeks. Took a certification test and did not want to be sore....not that it mattered, didn't pass. At least I know how the test is set up. Then a couple extra crazy days with orthodontist appointments, regular Drs appointments for my boys, and some extra driving lessons for my middle son so he could get his restricted license.

Welcome back.  Enjoy the DOMS as a reminder of your time off  :nanana:

Maybe it'll set in tomorrow  :S   ;D Shoulders and chest feel fine
Honestly, while I didn't really get into the gym for "lifting" between working outside (digging, moving stuff around) and working on 2 vehicles I got some exhausting work done.
I suspect, though, that I'll be plenty sore tomorrow after DL today.

Finally broke the 190 barrier on weight. Was 188 yesterday. Next stop 185.  Kind of depressing realizing that if I want to get down to around 12% bf I'll most likely have to be somewhere between 175 and 178  :(

DL

145x5
185x5
215x3
235x5
270x5
305x3
305x3
305x2

Another crappy day lifting. Last night was the 3rd night in a row that I kept waking up for no reason. I'm exhausted today and it showed with the lifts.
Was supposed to do 5x5 @ 215 for squats after DL. Loaded the bar, unracked it, and said "nope". Might try some ibuprofen before bed tonight and see if that helps.

I bet your just dragging a bit from taking 11 days off. Whenever i take a break from the gym it seems like it takes me a good week before i have a decent session. Good job getting it done when feeling low on energy

Thanks Gents.
I think, at least a bit, was due to taking 11 days off, not sleeping right, and an intestinal issue that has resolved.
