Squat
5  95
5  115
3  135
5  175
3  195
1  215
3  195
 5 175

This was harsh. Still felt motivated and ready to do.

Deadlift
10  185
10  185
10  185
10  185
10  185

These just hurt. My legs were jelly, so it was almost all back. Doesn't look like much on paper, but this workout got me.

Weight-202.6

Feel like I should have eaten more for lunch, probably would have had more fuel, but still happy with the session.

I am not surprised, lol. Looks brutal. High rep deads after squatting.

You may want to wear a belt if you deadlift after squats?

Nah. I did notice my form getting sloppy at the end of the last couple of sets, but at such a light weight and not being too awful, I think I'll be fine. 5 sets of 10 at 185 is more mental than physical imo. I just have to keep telling myself "Just two more sets." or "Five more reps", "Don't be a pussy.", etc.

I hate those high rep sets. Killer at the end.

No doubt. It's just torture. But it really helps develop mental toughness imo.

5x10 is definitely out of my comfort zone. I've never done 10 deads in a set before this. Very challenging.

I decided a long time ago to make 135 my 10RM for deadlifts.  They are tough.  I'd rather do 10 singles than one 10 rep set.

Truth.

 Today was another decent session.

Press
5  65
5  75
3  95
5  115
3  125
1  145
3  125
8 115
Seemed heavy, but not unmanageable. I guess that's how it's supposed to be. :) Got one more rep in on my amrap set of 115, which is a win.

Bench Press
10  105
10  105
10  105
10  105
10  105
Bumped the weight up on these, still came easy. I'm sure I'll feel it on the heavy day.

Lat Pulldown
10 115
 10 120
10  125
10 130
 7x135
Bumped weight up on these too, maybe a fuzz too much because I couldn't finish that last set. Will leave it there anyway until I can, but 115 was just too light imo.

DB Curls
10 30
10 30
 5x30/5x35
Hit 5 on my last set, racked 'em and finished with 35s, no probs.

V bar Pushdowns
10 47.5
10  47.5
10  52.5
Nothing special to note here. I finished out trying reverse grip pressdowns, but they felt really wrong and I stopped. Not about to hurt myself over a light iso exercise. Will try again with less weight soon. Also burned out on the Flye machine, started at 140 because my chest was already worked, did 9 or 10, dropped to 120 and got 6 more I think, then dropped straight to 100 and got 3ish.

Pretty good day for not feeling to excited before getting there. Once I got started it was on like Donkey Kong though.

Weight for today- 205.2 Starting to see that go back up a bit. Really ready to get back to the 210+ range where I actually look like I lift a bit.

Congrats on the weight jump on Bench.

Does your gym have a rope grip for the pushdown machine? I find that it is better than the rigid v-bar.

Thanks, and it does, I just prefer the v-bar. Something about the rope makes me want to cheat for some reason.

Deads and squats, week 4, day 2.
Strayed from the program a bit again today, but kept it basically the same. Tried out PES High Volume today as a non stimmed pre and really liked that.

Deadlift
5  155
5  195
3  225
3  275
3  315
3  365
1x405
7  275

This is where I strayed, wanted to go a bit heavier on deads today. Will go back to regular programming after my deload next week.

Squat/BB Calf Raise
10/10  115
10/10 115
10/10  115
10/10  115
10/10  115

Added in some calf raises while I had the bar on my back, gotta admit that these really got to me today. It took some gritness to force those last two sets.

Seated Leg Curl
10x100
10x100
10x100

Decided to add in some light leg curls because I'm a glutton for punishment. :)

Weight clicked in at 206.0, bouncing between that and 206.2. Weight is still coming up so my banana bulk is still working. I'm going to get back over 210 and beyond again, just a matter of time.
