I'm betting my wife picks up the other dumbbell system for me on my Birthday in July.  I'll have a decision to make then.

Thursday 2/19/15 193.4 lbs 45 Mins

Wide grip pull downs:
120x5x3

Under grip pull downs:
120x10, 140x 8, 160x5

Pull ups:
8, 5, 5

Supposed to be squat day but still giving my knee a rest.  Decided to try and help increase my pull ups.  The first set of actual pull ups was great.  I was flying up and over the bar getting much more height than usual.  Pull ups are usually the first exercise I do so I guess all the warm up worked out nicely.

Woke up this morning and weighed in at 192.2.   This week the weight loss has really accelerated.  I've have very strong control of my intake.  Took some measurements and my belly is down 1 inch since starting.

Good to hear. I've decided, yet again, to try to reign in my diet.  ::)

Congrats on the shrinking gut.

That's great!

I'd rather see a shrinking belly than weight going down.

Friday 2/20/15 193.6lbs 1Hr 5 Min

OH Barbell Press:
90x8, 110x5, 120x3

Seated OH DB Press: 1 Arm
45x10, 8, 8, 7, 6

Front DB raises:
19x10,10,10

Side DB raisies:
19x10,10,8

Bent Over DB raises:
19x10,10,10

Was curious about my OH barbell press so warmed with the barbell today instead of dumbbells and decided to test my strength a bit.  120x3 was ok I guess.  This was probably the reason for not getting 10 reps across my sets on the military presses.  No biggie...just mean I got a lot more volume today anyway.

On a good note...shoulder muscles were really starting to pop in the mirror today.  I've never really seen any definition before...so this BB routine plus weight might be allright.

Muscles popping? Good to hear.  8)

I'd say that the 120x3 is damn good.

I completely agree. That's why I took a pic after my one shoulder day and made it my avi. Even though I know I won't look like that the next day it feels good to know that each workout gets me a little closer to something like it.

Your avi is pretty killer and one I've been looking to emulate since logging on to IS.  I think its a good goal since our lifting numbers are somewhat in the same range although I'm a bit taller than you.

Monday 2/23/15 194.8 1hr 429 min.

Pull ups:
7,5,5,6,5

Rack Pulls: (Due to knee issues)
280x10x2, 300x10

DB Rows:
75x10x2

Barbell Curls:
70x10,7

Incline DB Curls:
30x8x2

Did a whole mess of pulls downs before the pull ups.  Getting agreat range of motion on them now.  Had a pretty big eating weekend with several beers on Saturday.  Good for about a 2 lb gain since friday.

At the moment I'm experiencing symptoms of a huge insulin spike.  Ate a sizable breakfast at 10 am but hadn't eaten since.  Got some double vision.  Drank some Sunny D to try and combat this issue.  Slowly coming around.   Wonder if anyone else has had this issue post work out before?

Thanks, I really appreciate that. I'm working on getting rid of all the fat in my midsection now.

Good workout. I really need to start doing pullups again.

Sucks about the double vision stuff. How long did you go without actually eating anything? Maybe you overtaxed your CNS? :dunno:

I think it had been about 6 hours pre-workout, so add a couple more hours before the symptoms started.  Hit me after I got out of the shower post workout.

That's weird. I'd just keep an eye on it to see if it occurs again.
