This one pisses me off as much as the log. I can definitely get more on these, but I was toast. It was so damn hot in there my cramps had cramps.

So hers the result of my first strongman comp.

210 log zero, tied for last.
455 deadlift 10, first place and had more in the tank just needed 9 to win.
400 duck walk 60'. Made it about 40' and tore up my hands pretty good cto get last place.
700 yoke for 30', second place I think it was 34 seconds but I dropped it a ton.
225 stone of Steele over 52", one rep for second to last place.
Second to last for the day. This shit is waaaaaay harder than powerlifting. I feel like I did a five event powerlifting meet twice.

Overall, it was fun and I will definitely do this again.  Maybe a level one comp with a masters division next time though. This was a level 2 and a really heavy one at that.

Glad you had fun!
Those weights and the movement are no joke! As I said before, it suspiciously reminds me of farm work, and I'm not joking about that.

For example, we didn't keep the duals on the big tractor on the whole year. I'm not sure how much they weigh but I'd have to lift one up, like a tire lift, then get it so I could roll it over to the tractor to get bolted up, then maneuver it so it'd line up with the holes. Or, if we had a big rock I'd lift it into the back of the pickup. A couple times I had to call my buddies and it'd take 3 of us to lift.

Keep at it!

I can see where after a while, trying to do all that, one would become totally wiped out.  :o

Kind of crazy, but I really want to do another one.  It was much harder, but much more fun than a powerlifging meet.  I'm signed up for Alex's RPS meet in October, so I need to get the strongman thing out of my head for a couple months.  There's a competition the week before the pl meet, but I know that's not a great idea.  But, none of my ideas are usually great ideas.

At a powerlifting meet the judges look like they would much rather be somewhere else, but at this strongman meet the judges where cheering and jumping up and down.  The only things that where crappy was that warm ups where a real shit show.  Everyone warms up at the same time, but there's not enough crap for everyone to use, and you have very little time to warm up.  I'm not one to do much warm up at a meet, but you at least need to get your body primed for the weight.  The other thing was that it smelled much worse than a powerlifting meet.  Just way too many fat sweaty people in one place.  Smelled like a bag of old sweaty onions.
