Pics of my Home Gym
« on: March 24, 2017, 12:26:41 PM »
What's up fellow bar-benders?  I've been a home gym guy the last 15 years and wanted to share what I have accumulated over the years.

Olympic bench that can be used for decline, incline, flat, and military press.  Also has curling pad attachment.

A couple other separate benches.

35 pound Swiss Bar and 25 pound EZ bar

Hex Dumbbell set and rack.

Pull-down Machine.

Weight tree with Olympic plates, along with squat shoes.

Weight Belt and various bands.  (love band work)

Elbow sleeves, gloves, and wrist-wraps.

Attachments and various clips.

Power-Tower.

Half-squat rack w/pull-up handles on top.

Wrist-roller along with one lonely kettle bell.

A few other notes:

--all of this equipment is packed into a 12'x12' area with a below 8' ceiling.  So when people use the I don't have room for a home gym excuse, I tend to laugh.  Gotta be creative and willing to move stuff around as you use it.

--I worked as a mover part-time for many years and scored several things from people moving who didn't want to take certain possessions to their new houses.  You'll notice I have large mirrors on all 3 walls.  Each of them was free from a person I moved.  I also got the pull-down machine, most of the attachments and some plates free off a job.

--the tv in there is my son's old one and crappy, but I like that it has a built in DVD player.

That about puts a bow on it all.

No, that is the RIGHT way, brah.  :D

Seriously though, I stopped the whole debate about right/wrong way plate-facing many years ago when I saw a guy repping 495 on the bench with his plates "the wrong way" in my opinion.  That's when I stopped caring.  Just put them on the bar IMO.

Thanks.  It is a lot crammed into a small space, but it works.

That being said, I'd love my next house to have an actual real gym/workout area.  THEN I CAN BUY A BUNCH MORE EQUIPMENT!  8)
