Another day in the books. Went really well. I'm starting to get used to sumo dl's and my abs weren't sore for the ab rolls. woohoo. I should be good to go now and start to progress instead of just managing.  I used my belt for the first time today on DL's Figured I'd try it. Never done sumo's with it before. No problems at all. I wasn't sure how it would feel as I haven't used it for anything yet.

Stronglifts day 8

warm ups

squat

170 x 5 x 5
I paused a 2 count on all the last set as well as a rep here and there throughout. Just for fun.

seated OHP (at home. ceiling issues)

85 x 5 x 5

sumo DL

warm ups

305 x 1 x 5

pull ups ss w? ab rolls from the knees

bw x 5 x 10

bw x 3 x 10

thats it. I'm happy with how things are going so far. Just hope it keeps up.

Thanks Shawn. Things are feeling pretty good right now on the form side of things. Bench today felt like it should. Still light but getting there.

Stronglifts day 9

warm ups

squats

175 x 5 x 5 paused last set

Bench

160 x 5 x 5 all paused. Last set was a full 5 count pause on each rep

pendalay rows

155 x 5 x 5

dips ss w/ hanging leg raises

bw+10 x 5 x 10 (added weight just cause I was sick of typing 0 into the tracking app)

bw x 3 x 10

good day in general. Felt good on all my movements so I'm happy with the progress so far.

Thanks guys.

I'm sure I could bump up some of the lifts but I'll run the program as is for now. I can add pauses and such to change things up. It's all moving in the right direction  though.

I'm not sure right now what is next. I'll either go back to 531 or I may give tsa a shot. I'm going to look at it soon. I want to do something linear for a bit though and then switch to a peaking program closer to the spring.

Another good one in the books Rich! Think u typo'd 108 instead of 180 squats.  At least the program progresses fast but I am sure you are much stronger than your weights right now!

I am seriously loving TSA Rich if you're thinking about it.  Get yourself back in a groove and give it a go for 9 weeks and see what you think. Tons of volume :)

Yes you're right Shawn. It was supposed to be 180. I'm sure I'm stronger too but I'm enjoying the time to work on form as I go along. It's still light enough that I can add pauses to change it up a bit. The weight is going quick though.

Glad you're enjoying TSA Dave. I probably will give it a try.

Thanks Eric. I've always been ok at pull ups.

Another decent day in the gym. Still plugging along happily.  I decided to video my last set of squats to see how my form is.  Looks ok to me.

stronglifts day 11

warm ups
squats
185 x 5 x 5 last set paused(vid)

bench

165 x 5 x 5 all paused

pendalay rows

160 x 5 x 5

dips ss w hanging leg raise

10# x 5 x 10

bw x 3 x 10

I think I'll add more weight next time to dips. Maybe another set of leg raises too. Things are getting better.

Thanks Shawn. I'm hoping to keep going with the paused squats for as long as possible. It seems to help with general awareness.

agreed, i think the variations of pause squats and pin squats really help with a lot of things. Like staying tight, bar path, depth,
