Dave, really sorry to hear about your Dad. Hope he gets better and the surgery turns out well.

Good session on squats. Looks like your strength is making leaps and bounds on coming back.

Thanks Eric.  Dad is doing a bit better.  Dealing with some memory and cognitive problems now which we're hoping is just after effects of surgery.

Squats were okay I guess but a lot of high reps I'd say.  My heart really wasn't in that one so I'll hopefully rebound next squat day.

5 x 185
5 x 185 - vid - 8 reps too

Felt good tonight.  Workouts getting pushed back a bit.  Got home from the hospital last night with the intention of eating some dinner and then hitting the basement.  As soon as I sat on the couch with the kids that was it  Haven't really seen that much of them in the last week though cuz of my many hospital trips and work so it worth pushing back for a night.  Felt guilty this morning for not doing it though ;D

Bench felt really good tonight.  Grip and deads got better and better as the sets went on.  Missed lockout on a rep during the third set I noticed but overall feeling pretty good about where I am right now.

Having worlds of problems with youtube due to copyright issues with the music in the background.  I give up.  You might get to see the vids  or you might not.  No clue lol

I started this workout differently.  I worked up to a couple of heavier singles and then did some heavy walkouts up to 365 which I did for 2 sets and 2 partial reps each time.  By the time I went back down to my working program sets for the day it felt like nothing on my back.

Good day in the gym.

Nice work in the gym. Deads were sweet. Hope your dad is feeling better. I hear you on having too many things on the go. Family is #1 though. Gym will still be there.

Week 4 l Day 1

Squats

Worked up to a 265 single.  First time since the meet.  Felt good and pretty easy.

Working Sets

5 x 230
5 x 230 vid
5 x 230
5 x 230
5 x 230 vid

Bench

7 x 180
7 x 180
7 x 180
7 x 180 vid

CGBP

6 x 180
6 x 180 - nearly died lol thought the bar was going to take my head off.  Just got it on the hooks
6 x 155 - Widened my grip a bit.  Way too light.
6 x 175 - Easy again.

Landmine Rows

6 x +45
6 x +70
6 x +95
6 x +95

Squats felt really dialed in tonight. Good feeling.  Working on speed down and back up.  Some reps were better than others in that regard but depth was achieved I believe on every rep today.

Bench felt good today.

Youtube editor is a thing of the past apparently :(   Put up a couple.  Rest of my squat sets are on youtube if interested.

Thanks guys

Andrew, yeah just a little one although with the last 2 weeks and most of my time spend in a car and at the hospital I've been eating like shit for most of it.  Weight has spiked a little  If I hit 199 and I'm dropping back down to 193ish which shouldn't take long.
