Ok, going to track some of my routines here I guess... why not :)

Some nights we video tape and youtube some training. Sometimes I  do it for months at a time, and others I don't..

I lack fancy equipment in the home gym. So, I make up for it by sticking to basics where I need to.

Tonight : Squats!

Working out with 'The Ginger'... a training partner of mine, about 28yrs old, younger guy, still fairly new to the game. But, aggressive shit talker, so.. we get along well.

400 x1 (wraps) <-- haven't gone this heavy in along time, the goal was 385 but 365 flew up, this was good enough for tonight had more..

225 x10  <-- turn it up a little... I can't hear my legs any more...

And for dessert...
4 sets of 10 50lb db lunges (25lb plate each hand... lacking the dumbells)..

Then.. the feeding... shower.. some House of Cards.. maybe a drink.. bed..

If you want to squat more, you have to squat more, as the saying goes :)

It wasn't long ago... squatting 135lbs... hoping to hit 225 someday... 

Recently re-introduced knee wraps. So, I am getting used to them again.. used to rely on them for 225 and higher (sad I know)... but I'm fixed after a few months of work. I did notice a huge difference in a couple of things though recently:

* No further knee caving (part of why I was directed to wrap all the time in the first place)
* Teardrop muscle (Vastus Medialis) is noticeable now.. I figured I didn't even have one before.. haha...
* Overall, much more sturdy lifting /feelsgoodman
* First set after wraps is hard... balance is off, I almost stopped after my first rep, wraps sit me back a little further than non-wrapped reps

Anyhoo...   bench night is approaching... yummy.

I have a hard time sometimes just, going down the stairs to my gym. But, once I am there, music turned on... my head is in the game. Sometimes, the hardest part is just getting there...

Went to my basement gym Sunday evening.  Stretched, warmed up, stretched some more, and walked away.  I'm still pissed at myself.

Tonight : Bench

Lousy night tonight... every single rep hurt... muscles, joints, everything just hurt. I wonder if I needed to take a day off, it's been a heavy loaded weekend.. Sat - Deads, Sun - Shoulders,  Mon - Squats, Tues - Bench. Yea, I probably should have taken tonight off and pushed to tomorrow. Usually I get deads in pre-Saturday and have Sat off (of late)..

Anyhow... tonight:

225 x10 <-- knew a bad night was coming here
275 x4   <-- put 275 on the bar and, every joint, elbows, wrists, shoulders.. just ached
315 x1         And I usually bang 3-5 out, with much more in the tank here, but I had no more than 5 in me

Skipped back this week.. just.. was exhausted. Work has been draining the life out of me, no days off in several weeks. So, felt like a lame ass but deadlift day I took the dog for a walk, and was exhausted after that.. litterally.. eyes closing type exhausted.  Typical.. blah.. need to figure this job thing out at some point.

Overhead front plate raises from thigh to over my head, I don't stop at eyesight, go over/behind the head for that trap work.
I should move these to the end of my routine.. they just fell here when I added them in.. time to modify the routine.

In hindsight it is always nice to see significant changes. I have no noticeable knee caving... when I started squatting my knees would start caving at 185.. no shit... part of the reason I moved to wraps soo quickly (again training partners at the time also suggested). Then coming out of the wrap dependency, and just working on squatting.. good stuff.

Form needs work, need to try and get a little deeper overall.. /shrug.. but again, looking back and thinking that I would be throwing 400lbs up on a squat and depth being an issue by an inch maybe.. haha.. awesome. Never thought I'd break 315.. for years...

Lower back is soo damn strong now too, only caves a little when I push my limits  (last 315 set, I hitch a bit)...  I mean, I don't lean forward much, I don't walk away crippled.. weight is controlled during the while movement... good stuff... good GD stuff... 

Anyhow...off to sleep...
