Starting to take shape.  I just need to put a few screws on the mat after the glue dries.  Cutting that mat was a PITA.  Sawzall made it a little easier, but my batteries kept dieing on me.  I had to do that last foot by hand.  I tried my angle grinder but it stunk up my basement from 1 second of cutting.  Smelled like Dale Earnhardt did a burnout down there.  Wife was not happy about that.   :o

Once I get the rest of it together I'll use a better camera.  If I can get my time-lapse video together I'll post that up as well.  It'll probably be a little funny seeing me wander around looking for misplaced tools and junk.

All done!  I'll probably slap a coat of polyurethane on there one day when the wife and kids are out of the house.  2-4" of snow is expected tomorrow so everyone will likely be home.

Nag-dabit!  GoPro SD card ran out of room so I didn't get the whole build in.  Don't mind the mess.  I'm still organizing junk to make room for equipment.  Next weekend I'm going to make some plate holders so I don't have them laying all over the floor.

Pic of where the mat meets up with the center 4x4 plywood.

Great start, since our new place had a pretty big garage I'm considering the rack, DBS, etc route myself.

Yesterday and today I put down a couple coats of polyurethane (pecan).  It should be dry enough tomorrow to use it for the first time for deadlift day.

I'd recommend giving the urethane another day to set, just to be sure.

The 2nd coat went on this morning so there'll be about 30 hours before my deadlift session tomorrow.  The label says 6 hours for drying time.  If it gets messed up, I'll sand and redo it for next week with a longer cure time.

I got tired of bending over to pick weights off the floor when changing the weight on the bar so I wanted to get some weight storage.  Tree's would take up too much space and the floor racks were over-priced.  Plus, the power rack I'm going to eventually get hopefully will have storage on it.

So I used my redneck skills and made this for under $5.

Just had a "Dang, why didn't I think of that" moment.

Got a new project now.  Just a little different for my set up.
