Title: More Home Gym Stuff
Post by: FLEX on December 30, 2020, 09:39:43 PM
I bought this Elites FTS SS Yoke Bar for Lisa's boy for his birthday in February.

They were out of stock and it was supposed to ship in January, but somehow I received it today and I never even got a shipment notification.

I may or may not use it myself.  I'll try it out at least once and see if I like it.

He won't be home until Monday so I took the liberty of unboxing it and moving it downstairs to our weight room.

It's a really nice and solid piece of equipment.

I won't use it before he does, but it's tempting....

I have a set of Proloc collars and also a set of Rogue HG axle bar collars. Both will work.

Nice. Sounds like you'll be putting the home gym to use for some time yet.

Always good to have the equipment you need.

Gyms won't be open here for at least 6 weeks and even then with bullshit protocols.

No regrets on any of the money I've spent so far.

same here. Although I don't have that much stuff I did buy some stuff while gyms were closed last year.

I got one of these.

and a set of these.

and a free standing bench.

I did recently go back to my gym but plan to keep these around just in case.

Not crazy about those powerblocks but that machine looks cool.

The machine is great. The powerblocks are just meh. I hate having to swap parts but they are way cheaper than trying to buy all the dumbbell sets. And take up so much less room.

I'm a fan of adjustable dumbbells, just not those ones.

Have you seen mine?

I was thinking about some power blocks, but glad I saw this.  I had my reservations but for some reason I was considering again.

My iornmasters were great, but I am lazy.  I will probably just get a rack set up at some point, but I feel guilty buying them.  (I know...it does not make sense)

You just bought intake manifolds you don't need but you feel guilty buying gym equipment???

I would suggest to anyone buying adjustable dumbbells to get the BAADASS ones I have.  They are not pretty.  They look like someone made them in their garage.  But they are fucking solid. And affordable.

Yea.....kinda really sounds stupid when you put it like that ;)

I dont know why I am the way I am.  For most things I dont like spending money....but on certain things, I dont give it a second thought.
Back when I had my helo, I would not buy a $50 pair of sneakers, or feel guilty doing it,  but I would burn $150/hr in just fuel.

Was just waiting for weights to come down to reasonable levels.

One thing I was thinking about doing was just getting in 10lb increments and then get a set of plate mates to make my 5's.

I have played with powerblocks and honestly I hate them, they feel awkward to me and I despise the rattling.

No I have not.

ETA - Ok just saw your other post. Those look pretty solid. Unfortunately I'm not in the market any longer. Wish I would have seen these before I bought some.
