Nice work Dave. Warming up with your previous totals is a good feeling. You'll have a good meet in april at this rate.

JC6W
Week 4 Day 4
198.0

Bench

3 x 215
2-4 x 220 - 2
1-2 x 235 - 1

Think I raised my hooks a setting too high Shawn noticed.  I thought it might help with a quicker dismounting of the bar but it appears my bar hit them.  The last time I bench 235 I got 2 reps at the end of my TSA cycle a couple of months ago. I  was also about 5-7 lbs heavier then too.  Not sure if that played a role or not. Either way decent session.

Slingshot

4 x 245
1 x 265 (pr tie)

Accessory Lifts

BB Rows
DB Arnolds

Nice work Dave. I wouldn't worry about the reps too much. Could be just the day. My bench seems to be stalling a little right now. I think it's just fatigue though. Just keep at it and it's gonna move again.

Strong looking workout there Dave.  I like the Bench followed by some SlingShot overload work.  That's a great way to move the bench along.

Quick update.  Yesterday was supposed to be my 305 x 1-3 day.  I got under the empty bar to start warming up and my lower back started shooting with pain and I don't know why.  I did some stretching and air squats and a few other moves and started really slowly adding weight to the bar but it didn't go away.  By the time I got to 225 the pain was going up my entire back as soon as I got under the bar and made an attempt to unrack it.  I eventually just stopped and spent most of the day trying to move as much as I could.  As the day went on the pain decreased a bit but I Was aware of it all day.  I woke up today and it's still there but not as bad.  This is odd. My back was sore after deads the other day but not like this and then all day Tuesday I felt fine and felt good right up until I put the empty bar on my back. I'm going to do some more empty barbell squats today if I and just keep it moving.  Hopefully over the next few days whatever this is will clear up.a

Damn Dave. :(  Sorry to hear about the back pain.  Hopefully that clears up quickly for you.  Taking it easy and moving around to loosen it up sounds like a good idea.

Ah fuck to make matters worse I was in a car accident yesterday on my way to work. Somebody sideswiped me  trying to get around another car and took out my driver side  >:(  Not seriously hurt at all but my new car needs a lot of work.  I wouldn't say this hurt my back any more than it was already feeling but it sure didn't help it :flame:

Yeah it was pretty shitty. Nobody wants this at any time but especially right now the timing sucks.

Felt okay when I woke up, did some bar only ohp, squats and rdl's.  Back feeling tight again after but not too bad.  A bit of stretching and now off to work.  On Monday I'm off and going to add some weight to the bar and try and work my way up to a top set of 5 or so.  No weight goal in mind just see how it goes.

Andrew, she smashed into my drivers side pretty bad.  Luckily I was stopped at the time and waiting to make a turn.  I couldn't open my driver side door more than about 4 inches and my drivers side mirror was banged up but still attached. Hubcap went sailing through the air and luckily didn't hit somebody else.  I had the option of going in and out through the passenger door or the window like Dukes of Hazard.  Dukes sounded cooler but I opted for the other door lol
