IDK what the perfect venue would be tbh

It would be this building where I work:

But they won't even entertain the idea.  >:(

Honestly, If I owned a facility like that I wouldn't allow it.  The meet Alex just ran this October was in a gym with really nice wood floors.  I found myself constantly moving the carpeting and weights to be sure the floors weren't getting messed up.  People in the warm up area seemed like they could care less if they dropped a weight on the nice floor.

I realize the location is up in the air, but do they have a date yet?  I was planing on doing the NH/VT RPS meet in April because it's close to home, they let the old dudes lift Saturday morning, and I've had two great meets there.  BUT, I just looked and saw that I've got a big conflict with April 7th.  Been crying hysterically ever since I noticed the conflict a couple minutes ago.  Not really, but kinda wanna.  There's a meet in CT, but if I'm traveling I may as well finally meet this group of nuts and do this meet.  Can we do it near my house instead of NY though?

Maybe there will be a meet in a warm area April we can all do :D By then I'll be sick of winter.

RPS in Bermuda.   8)

Speaking of cold locations, I assume that the train station in Buffalo is *not* an option in April?  I seem to recall hearing that it closes for winter due to a lack of heating.  Late April could be questionable.

April 28. I'm working on venues near me so I can get spotters/loaders beforehand, seems to be a recurring challenge.

The floor in that pic is brand new and probably a couple hundred grand. It's rubberized though so would be hard to damage.

The venue is amazing, that pic doesn't do justice, The Grateful Dead played there in '77.

Took a nap today and dreamed that Gene showed up and wanted to visit the venue. He was driving all crazy, on the wrong side of the road, wouldn't listen to my directions, going in circles. We get there and it's all these stairs and steps with crap blocking them. The venue I had wanted was actually an outdoor field, grass. The woman setting up the event wasn't there and no one knew anything about the event. Guys in RPS TShirts started rolling in equipment to be stored until April.

Right?

Would be way easier dealing with a single bad dream about getting outbenched by a 181 lb feller

Gene thought it was a tad disturbing. Then he laughed.

Just got word from the Big Man.
Bando got RPS in.
Gene locked it down about 30 minutes ago.

Congrats, Bando. You've gone from Pariah to Savior.

Ayye, venue has everything but a steakhouse nearby. Great Italian place that makes a nice steak though.

ROFLMAO.  That takes some talent.
