Thanks guys. I think I will wrap up for the remainder. I was planning on upping the weight if I went that route anyways so I'll see how things go. At the very least I'll get more practice wrapping.

Finished off week 3 yesterday. Over all it went well. I got 5 paused on my first set of bench. Although the last rep was ugly. The last 2 sets were t'n'g'. The accessories felt great again. Pushed my Seated OHP a bit more this time as well.

JC week 3 day 4

Happy with that.  The posted vid has the squats from the other day and the first set of bench from yesterday

Well today was an utter disappointment. I didn't even get to my working sets on squats. Made up to 265 for warm ups and failed at 275. Tried again and no go. Just sank to the safeties and that was it. My wife is an RMT and she said something glute wise isn't firing properly and causing the weakness along my right leg.  This really sucks. It looks like I'll be doing a token lift for squat this year. I'll be going lighter for the rest of the week on squats I guess and see if that helps. Still try some wrapped stuff too.  Anyways...

It's not the same leg. I'll post a vid of the fail. You can see it looks good till the bottom then the bottom literally just drops out. I'm supposed to squat again on thursday but I'll switch it to friday just for an extra day and see.

Had a great day today though. Bench felt strong and everything else was good too. Gassed out on seated ohp but did the rest pause thing to finish things off

Thanks Shawn. At least something is moving in the right direction. Here's the vids as promised. You can see on the squat vid as I get into the hole it suddenly just drops. It sucks but it is what it is.

Thanks Dave. I'm not expecting too much this year. Just not working out right this time. I'm sure I'll do okay but go in with low expectations and hope for the best.

I squatted today to give things a go and see where I stand. It was better today but I could still feel the loss of strength once things got going. Oddly enough once the weight got heavier the problem got better although not gone completely. Wraps really helped. I'm guessing wraps change angles slightly and obviously help out of the hole. Either way I'll take what I can get


JC week 4 day 4

135 x 8 starting to feel it
185 x 2 really feeling it now. stopped at 2
225 x 1 still hear. Really had to concentrate to get it
245 x 1 a little better
265 x 1 still there but got the rep
285 x 1 better yet again. Just weird

295 x 1 went fine
315 x 1 good here too. Thought about more but stopped while I was ahead


Deadlift

390 x 3 vid
405 x 2 (1-2) vid

Tried hook grip for the first time on warm ups. NO THANKS. I know you get used to it but I like my opposable appendages. First rep of 405 felt off but 2nd went fine.

That's it. I'll hit the other lifts but I probably wont squat again till the meet now.

Strong benching Rich! That really came together for you.
Well that squat session certainly went pretty good. That 315 flew up buddy, you may have a PR in there next week still. Odd how it got better with more weight but fukkit, thatís a good problem to have!
That second rep of 405 looked like the bar, so fast!
