Solid session Rich, still hit your reps on bench so allís good. Good luck tomorrow, once you pass that bullshit life is a pretty sweet fruit!

Thanks Shawn. Bullshit is now done. I'll say it was an exercise in perseverance. The second rep on the mr10 almost did me in. Lost tension on the way down and went too deep. Saved it though. 9th rep wanted to be racked too. Got my 10 though but that just added more misery. I'll admit that the emom  wasn't exactly 1 min. It slowly crept up to about 1:15 to 1:20ish. Still not bad though. I tried some wrapped squats after. I only got one rep. I wasn't comfortable with the setup at work to bail me out in case of failure. Still got one rep.

Anyways

Don't want any more. That shit just comes in white anyways ;D

Thanks Dave. I'm not sure how much "fun" is coming but at least the emom is done.

Had a reasonably good day today. I'm registered now in the 198 class which means I'm going to have to starve on the way down to make weight. I'm just hovering there so it depends on the day and what I've eaten. Shouldn't really be a problem.

Here it is.

I should be able to make weight. I'll be glad to lift in the morning instead of at 11 at night. ::)  Truck pull was for the county YMCA. Had 11 teams of 10 to pull the fastest. Raised money and had fun. We won again this year by a landslide. Just for bragging rights though. Driver in the truck pulled a fast one on us though. Had the brakes on when the start horn sounded. Jerk :o

Bench is feeling pretty good overall but not where I was last year. Everything seems to be lagging this year. I don't seem to be recovering well this time around. Squats are really feeling heavy right now. I guess everything is feeling really heavy haha.

Finished week 2 on sunday. Not to bad overall. Accessories actually felt really good. Late workout though. Doing some small reno's but still kept me busy.

JC week 2 day 5

warm ups

bench

working set

that's it. No optionals today.

On to week 3

wrapped 295 x 3 vid

To be honest it was a tough session today. Got reps but rough. DL's went better than squats so I'm happy with that.

Great job Rich! Squats looked tough but you hit your reps and the deads looked real good. FWIW this exact session I struggled with all 4x I ran JC on squats. I think it was left over fatigue from week 2 probably which is a very viable explanation :o

I'm still stiff and sore from the 2nd emom day. That just wrecked me.

Had a reasonable day today. Bench is going okay. I got my minimum reps paused but a bit of a struggle. My third set actually felt the best but still not 6 reps good. All the accessories felt pretty good.

Strong session Rich, bench is looking good, think you are going to peak very well from this. Fatigue will dissipate quickly from here and you are going to come out stronger than ever!

Thanks Shawn. Fatigue is getting a little less. I definitely have something going on in my legs. It's hurting my squats for sure. Wrapped seems to be doing okay though. I suspect the wraps are helping stabilize something. Yes I do know that wraps help period but it just doesn't feel the same. Hard to explain.

Anyways..

JC week 3 day 3

warm ups

squats

bw x 10
bar x 10
135 x 8
185 x 4
225 x 2
265 x 1

working set

285 x 4 (4-6)

wrapped

305 x 3 I'll post a vid tomorrow

paused deads

275 x 8

that's it. It went okay. wrapped felt good... well as good as having wraps on your knees can. I'm happy in general with the wrapped work as I've never done reps with wraps, just singles.

bench again tomorrow.

I'm thinking about changing squats to all wrapped but not sure about it yet. I still have a few days to decide. Any thoughts?

Another solid day Rich. My thoughts on wrapping is yes, definitely wrap all your work sets IMO. Think this was the most valuable thing I have done on this prep.
I guess the only drawback maybe the weights may end up too light for you but itís not like you canít hit another heavy single after etc.

I think it totally makes to train like you will compete and use the wraps for your work sets. Like Shawn said, be willing to bump the numbers up if your programming was based on non-wrap Estimated 1 rep max. Looks like you are doing that already with the 305x3 set. Nice work!
