Thanks guys.  It is what it is.  I'll have to look into that collagen stuff.

Today was going well for a while.  Felt strong but found out that 20lbs can sometimes feel like a lot more than 20lbs.

Beautiful looking daughters man.

Sorry about the bum knee but hopefully it holds up so you can have a strong performance at your meet.

Strong pulls and 2ct bench Ron! Monster volume!
You can get collagen at any drugstore, it works on the tendons, not ligaments like glucosamine. You may even find it in the ďfemaleĒ section sold as a nail or hair supplement. Worth a try.

Holy smokes thatís a lot of deadlift sets. Iím with you on limping into this next meet. My right elbow is trash and significantly impacting my grip strength on deadlifts and my left shoulder aches like hell on bench. Looks like squat might be ok luckily. Hope your ailments clear soon!

20 lbs? 5 lbs can feel like a ton sometimes.

That's a crap load of volume Ron. Sorry to hear about the knee. Hope it gets better quick.

I don't get it.  Today was 180 from just 2 days ago.  No knee pain, hip was fine.

210 x 5 - was supposed to be 205, but I forgot to take a 5 off of one of the sides.  I just went with it but should have started a little lower and built back up.

New belt came in.  This should force me to keep better tabs on my weight.

Congrats on the session without the hip and knee pain Ron! :)  Hopefully that trend continues from here on out.

Awesome belt!  That is super nice man.

Still lifting, just too down to log anything.  Next weekend is my meet.  I should be getting my email soon asking for openers.  I"m pretty sure I won't be hitting any PRs for this one.  I may still consider it a success since my wilks should go up if my hip doesn't explode.  I was hoping to be well under 170 a few weeks ago, but with all the hip issues, I stalled on the cut trying to heal myself.  I'm at 170.5 in the mornings now, but will not be cutting to the 165 class.  I'll actually try to eat more to plump myself up.

Here's what I'm thinking
Squat:  325/350/365
Bench:  250/265/275
Deadlift:  370/390/405

Just hitting my 2nd attempts will equal my wilks from last years meet.  My goals are my training maxes from this past training session.  Nothing fantastic but I have one more year to make a mark in this division.

Glad to see you are still training Ron, itís tough to cut weight and train for strength at the same time. Your plan looks good though and will still move some excellent numbers and improve the wilks! Wishing you the best of luck!

Good luck in your meet Ron. Looks like you have a good plan going in. Too bad the hip isn't behaving for you. I'm sure it'll hold out on meet day though.

I'm going to ask Gene if I can switch to a push/pull.  Today as part of the Calgary Barbell program, I was supposed to work up to my openers for squat and bench, then do 2x2 w/ 82% (300).  My 325 was much too difficult than it should have been and hip started hurting about halfway up where is always does.  Then I barely got a single with the 300 due to the pain.  I stopped right there and moved to bench which went well hitting my 250 opener easy and 3 easy doubles with 225.
