Face Savers are the little wings that stick out to catch the bar if you overestimate your attempt and drop the bar, thus saving your face from being smashed.
I have no clue what actual dimensions are, but I'm assuming if you're asking, you are planning to fabricate some. In all likelihood, you'll have to measure the existing and plan from there.
