For my first meet I just want a simple cheap, still decent quality, singlet.  Blue chip has some cool looking ones, but waaay more than I want to spend right now.  I found a decent looking one that's inexpensive at maxbarbell, has anyone used those?

I just have the ubiquitous INZER singlet that half of all powerlifters have.

Simple and cheap.  I only wear it once or twice a year so...

I like that one, looks a little better than the maxbarbell, but still cheap

I went all out, and got one customized to what I wanted.  It was $70 at customsinglets.com

Like Flex said, you only wear it once or twice a year, spend the extra $ and get one you like. It helps after the meet, as you're easier to spot as you flip through pics.

I would bite the bullet and invest in a good one, the money I've spent on 2 cheap ones (and now I need another) could have paid for a nice one.

Do you know if the custom ones (blue chip wrestling) are of any better quality than the inzer singlet?  Or is the jacked up price just paying for a custom look?
Der- that makes sense too, in terms of being able to pick myself out easier in the pics, since I basically look like every other PL'er...bald with beard, lol.

Doubt it but not really sure. My next one is a college wrestling singlet and is $70.

On a lark I checked eBay and found a new one for $59 - just saved $11  :D :pepper:

I have two titan singlets.  I purchased a large when I was in the 170's, and it looked like it was painted on.  I got the xl, and it was tight but not bad in the 181 class.  Just wore the xl in the 198, and looked like a sausage.  Felt comfortable, but one of the guys there asked me "if I liked having my singlet that tight".  After he asked me that I looked in the mirror and realized that I should probably go back to the 181.
