Whatever meet you pick 1st, I would talk with other competitors and ask them what are the best meets that they like.

Several of the guys I talked to yesterday (world class lifters)  all said RPS is a great meet. So that's definitely on the list.
When the Meet Director, can legit squat nearly 900lbs...
And his wife deads over 500....

You know they've done a few meets and know what makes a good one.

Not sure if you know, Bert and Mindy run a gym called The Weight Pile.  http://weightpilegym.com/index.html Some seriously strong lifters there.
Do not fear The Iron, for it does not care.
The Iron is Resolute in Purpose, Steadfast in Intent, Unwavering in Desire, and Immovable in Stature.
Unless acted upon by a Superior Force.
Squat: 545; Bench: 350; Deadlift: 610; Total: 1490
