Benched yesterday at the commercial gym and remembered why I don't like benching there.
They have two flat bench press stations, both of which are narrower than what we have at work, by at least 2 inches (although just guessing as I haven't measured them). Felt wobbly as all get out compared to the solid feeling I have at the work gym.
Anyway, while I think the one we have at work is fine, a couple guys are clammering for a new one. My question is, other than the bench pad being at least as wide as what we have, is there a competition standard for width that you know about?
