Were you doing anything besides lifting?
hahahaha... It's an RPS Meet... I helped setup on Friday, judged the morning session, and as soon as I passed on Deads, I was back spotting.

Hmm, perhaps unloading and spotting aren't conducive to a good performance.

Hmmmmmmm.

I'm honestly happy, now that Flex, you didn't spend the cash to come down to it.

I feel like maybe if I had come things would have been better.  Very conflicted,

Worst meet I ever had was an RPS meet where I helped with the set up.  Gene was trying to get into the back of his pick up to get out the 100's, so I jumped up there and got them all out.  Then I went right over to the trailer and just sort of joined the crew.  Should have just sat in my truck until weigh ins, but that's just not me.

Sorry to hear, but now you have a reason to go at it again.

Yep.
It's happened before.
I did learn from this one, though.

I think at this point, my next one is InsurreXtion 7, November 17th, on Long Island.  The Hofstra Powerlifting team always hosts a good Meet.  Plus they have loads of spotters, loaders, and unloading/Setup crew.

My lower Back is very painful.  I likely strained something pretty bad.  Gotta give it a bit to recover.

As well, After InsurreXtion, I am doing the New Jersey Championship (January 2019), in Multi-ply gear.

Back is considerably recovered.
Benched last night and hit a nice 315x6.

Tonight, we'll see how Rows are.

Strongman Comp is only a 6 weeks away... Gotta get myself strong and healthy for it, then after that, it's focus on InsurreXtion.

I realized over the weekend, that my decision to compete in November was because I wanted more time to train for that Meet.  Well, in all honesty, my training leading up to this point was shit, and my performance on the platform was shit.  Which means I didn't really get a Meet in.

That means I need one sooner than November if I want to perform better.

As it is, I've lost all my training partners.  Candy moved to the Cape and only comes up once a week.  Sabrina and I work slightly different schedules, and that means we cross paths at the gym, but don't train together.  Big Chris, the monster that I used to train with, moved back to CT.  Manny that was a great partner, moved to Naples, Florida.

Bench, and Deads, not a big deal, as I can realy find anyone for a spot.  Squats, though, means I have to wrap my knees on my own.  Which as anyone who wraps knees knows that it sucks.

So, for Squat day, I may have to find a new gym to train at.  Which, again, sucks.

Anyways, griping done.

I'm competing next at RPS Supreme Iron Warrior in September, in NJ.  The Strongman comp is for fun, but I'm going to concentrate on the Meet now.  Can't keep fucking around.

And yes, seeing guys squatting 800 and 1000lbs was a motivator.

Squat Suit arrives next week.

Hopefuly picking up Deadlift suit this weekend. Possibly Bench Shirt as well.

Anyways...
Bench night was last night.  Busy night, short on time and energy.

banged out warm up sets, and then sets of 3-5 at 315.  Last set, was 345x3 to a 3 board.
Seated militaries on the Smith Machine.  4set, 8 reps, 135lbs.

Boom done.

and I'll make it back into the gym next Monday.  Too much going on.  I may very well quit my second job, so that I have Sundays free to train.

And it's official.  September 16th, is my next Meet in New Jersey.

The way my lifts are now I don't think I will be ready to compete again in September.

Well, I'm still chasing your numbers from April, so take your time and pick a Meet later in the year.

I talked with Gene today, and apparently, there were two other feds (CPF and IPA) that tried to run Meets recently in Canada.  Both were a bad show.  IPA screwed their venue for almost $4,000.  As a result, Gene is planning a big Meet up in Canada in the future.

Squat suit came in yesterday.  Tried it out in the gym last night.  Took 585lbs for a round trip.  It was 2inches high, but I'm still just figuring it out.
September will be raw and a crack at 600lbs squat.  January will be Equipped and a shot at 800lbs.

Just have to keep the training on point and not miss days.

Strung bands at a friends gym on July 4th and pulled 675.
