Squatted today. 2 sets of 2 to make up for the 2 sets I didn't do the other day.  Have felt like crap for the last few days and was starting to get worried that I was going to lose a bit of ground.  Benched last night and it didn't go very well.  Today was much, much better.

295x2

305x2 Rep pr :)

2 sets of pin squats with 245 to finish off the day.

Pulled 405x1 this morning.  Heavy.
385x2.  heavy

Benched touch and go up to a 240x1 single.  Not to bad but the 2 reps I had hoped for weren't going to happen.  Didn't fail the rep just racked it.

Front squats 2 sets with 135.

Everything is heavy. Fatigue is pretty real right now.  Day off tomorrow, squat Wednesday.

Last night I did my slingshot only day with singles.  Got that 285 and it went up pretty quick.  Thought 300 would go too.  Gravity said no chance.  lol

Last squat session in a few hours.

Nice job on your SlingShot session Dave. :)  Looking forward to seeing your squat session results.

Is your meet next Saturday?

Hey Greg it's not this Saturday but the one after.  April 28th.  I'll do a few singles up to my warmup weight on Monday for the big 3 and then a really light session on Wednesday then that'll be it until meet day.

That sounds like a great plan Dave. :)  I'm excited to see how you guys do.  It's time for new PRs...

The only silver lining out of my gong show squat attempts last year is that I'll be opening with a platform pr this year ;D   I'm aiming for 295/320/335 with squats.  I think I have a good shot!

Squats sucked.  Think a few days off might help a lot. Bench tomorrow and then nothing until Monday with a light one.

Having your Squat opener as  a PR is a nice way to set the tone for the meet.

Last heavy bench session today and it was a quick one.  Topped out a single with 245x1 which is a pr.  Slight pause too.  The bar stopped moving so I'm counting it although butt did lift a bit.  I could still feel the bench the entire time so to me it counts but sadly I can't judge and lift at the same time lol  240 is my planned second lift so with a handoff and wearing my belt I'm not too worried at all.  235 is my previous best meet lift so I'm pretty confident I'll pr next weekend :)
