Those were perfect 3rd attempt calls Andrew!  Was that how you drew them up beforehand or did you call those after the 2nd lifts?

thanks guys. For the lift calls, they actually went exactly how i imagined before hand. I had a best case scenario in my head for the lifts, and i felt good and did exactly what i had planned, and it worked! Its too bad i didnt get a bench video, bench was my least confident lift. But i stayed on plan and honestly my 254lb bench was probably my easiest 3rd lift of all 3. The bench set up they had was insane. It was one of those Elite FTS benches with a grip pad cover.

Started lifting again a few days ago. Everything feels heavy and my left shoulder hurts on bench now. Decided to back off on the specificity and stay away from the comp lifts for a few weeks, except squats, those are feeling ok so Iíll keep them going.Iíll be doing lots of rows and rear delt work to get my shoulders happy again. Probably start up a powerlifting block in 2 or 3 weeks and will log it when I do

Everything felt heavy for me as well after the spring comp. Sucks about the shoulder. A couple weeks off from bb bench is probably good. Not sure if you have dbs but the change could help too. Back work is never a bad thing. Heal fast.

Thanks guys, the shoulder is nagging me still. I think its my AC joint on my left side. Pain is in area of intersection of collar bone and trap. It feels painful when pressing. I think it started when i split my firewood a few months ago. I split about 4 cords by hand and i remember feeling some tenderness at that time. I was able to work through a 6 wk training cycle for my recent meet but it was getting a bit worse throughout that cycle. Right now I'm working some mobility stuff, foam rolling, etc. Cause is likely poor form and shoulder positioning so i will be working to correct that.

Time to dust off the journal and start logging again. I signed up for coaching from Reactive Training Systems and my coach is Ross Leppala. My training starts tomorrow and i'll be logging it here. I am starting out with a restoration block, not sure how long they will run me on this block but the overall training plan is being developed for the longer term goal of the RPS meet in April. RTS gives you the programming weekly, and it is adjusted as you go. Its a pretty cool set up, I was assigned a coach, but Mike Tuchscherer is also involved, he reviews the training plans and progress and is available for guidance too. For now there will be a lot of tempo work to try and strengthen my shoulder, and the squats are highbar because Ross says it will also help reduce pressure on the shoulder (although lowbar doesn't seem to bother it, luckily). I have my first week of programming and it looks interesting-and challenging with a lot of new movements. Looking forward to this

The new coaching/programming sounds good Andrew.  Looking forward to seeing how that works for you.  Also, it is cool seeing the meet pics.  Looked like a great time and you killed it on your lifts!
