Nice work Ron. I just finished week 7 day 2 as well. It almost seems too early for singles. I'm under so maybe that's why. Looks like you'll  be hitting test week with some good numbers.

I have something going on in my hip that makes it very painful when I'm in the hole.  Highbar doesn't hurt at all though.

Bench is looking really nice and tight Ron. Good control and the elbows nicely tucked. Actually everything is very controlled. No wasted movements. Your gym never fails to impress. I wish I had that much room. Actually I'd settle for another 6" of ceiling height so I can OHP standing.( .....insert rude comment here ::))

Thanks guys.  Bench has been feeling better with the reduced weight.  I get the whole learning to grind thing, but when every set is @10, that wears me down fast and probably puts me at risk for injury.  I have no meet until May, so no real reason to work that hard.  Being able to get the volume in and recover is more important now.

Another great session Ron! Know those bench feels, I'm over my head ony working sets but hoping it gets better on week 6. Squats are a rebuild in progress too, not a good training cycle for me at all. Things are looking up for you on deads and bench though, should be a real strong finish!!

If you've got time that's the smart thing to do Ron. Before you know it you'll be past where you are by spending more time at volume under a controlled load instead of grinders all the time.

Looks like a good day in the gym Ron. I hear ya on grinding every set. It wears you down fast. We're both near test week. I know I can probably hit some pretty high for me numbers for a single or double but when I enter those back into the program for the next round, I think the volume with the new weights is going to be tough. At least on bench.

Thanks guys.  Decent session today.  Deads felt slow, but I don't typically pull weights anywhere near this very often.  Last time I pulled this weight it was on the platform for a 2nd deadlift attempt last May.  I ended up missing my 3rd attempt of 420.

TSA - W7D2

Conventional Deadlift
   370 x 1
   395 x 1
   395 x 1

Paused Bench Press

  235 x 3
  235 x 3 @8
Pullups
   25 x 5
   25 x 5
   25 x 5 @8.5

Is it just me, or do thumbnails for videos only show up for the preview before posting?   :dunno:

Things are looking good Ron. 395 looked pretty easy. Slower than say 225 but if this is close to 1rm I'd say you would get your 420 for sure at this point. Bench is looking real good too. Finishing up this cycle strong.
